Why we love it
A race shoe is a personality. A walking shoe is a compromise. The Clifton is the third thing: the daily trainer people mean when the miles are ordinary and the knees have started to file complaints. Clifton 11 is the current one. Black on black, so the cushion can be the opinion and the shoe can stay quiet.
We love the unfancy updates. An engineered mesh upper, compression-molded foam, a double-lace lock so the tongue stays where you left it, and a bit of reflective detail for the walk that became a dark errand. HOKA’s drop on this generation is 8 mm. The weight sits around 10 ounces. This page is men’s 10, Medium width, Black/Black. When we looked, Amazon had that pair at $169.90. HOKA has listed the Clifton 11 at $155 on its own shop, so the Amazon door is not always the cheaper one.
