The real product. The opinion is still ours.
Why we love it
A nonstick pan is a three-year relationship. Lodge’s 10.25-inch skillet is the other kind. Pre-seasoned cast iron, a helper handle, and the personality of something that intends to be inherited.
We love it because a small kitchen only has room for tools that work on Tuesday. Eggs, a steak, cornbread, the oven, a campfire if your life is showing off. It holds heat. It does not beep. It will still be here when the lease is a story you tell.
The pitch is boring, which is how you know it’s good. Season it by using it. Dry it like you mean it. The pan gets better. The gadget drawer does not.
The longer story
This is the Lodge pre-seasoned cast-iron skillet in the 10.25-inch size, the one people mean when they say “just get a Lodge.” Stove, oven, grill, campfire. A real pan, not a kit.
Good for
- Weeknight searing and the cornbread you pretend is a side
- A first apartment, a cabin, or anyone whose “set” is two saucepans and a hope
- Gifts for people who already own a candle
Skip it if
- You want a featherweight pan. Cast iron is heavy on purpose
- You need a 12-inch for a crowd. This is the everyday size, not the feast size
- Your glass cooktop makes you nervous. It can live there, and it can also scratch if you drag it
