Why we love it

Some gifts need a speech. This one needs a table and someone willing to be the villain for a quarter of an hour. You draw cards. You try not to draw the kitten that ends you. You play a skip, an attack, a shuffle, and you discover who at the table is a diplomat.

We love it because the whole game is a small box. No board to store behind the couch. About 15 minutes, two to five players, ages 7 and up. The publisher lists the Original Edition at $19.99. That is a gift under $50 that does not require a size, a skin type, or an apology note.

It will not make anyone a better person. It will fill the part of the night when someone says they want to play a game and means it for exactly one round. Sometimes that round is the whole point.
