Why we love it

A console that only lives under the television is a piece of furniture. The Switch OLED is the one you undock. Seven inches of OLED, white Joy-Con, a kickstand that is finally wide enough to trust, and a dock that has a real LAN port for when the Wi-Fi is a rumor.

We love it because the same machine does the couch and the train. Local co-op is still two controllers you can hand to someone. Storage is 64 GB before the system takes its share, and a microSD card is the grown-up sequel. When we looked, the white model was in stock around $386 from a marketplace seller, a bit above the $349.99 this hardware has usually worn.

It will not out-spec a living-room tower. It will be the screen that is allowed to leave the room.

The longer story

This is the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model with white Joy-Con, manufacturer part HEGSKAAAA. Nintendo’s notes: a 7-inch OLED screen, 64 GB of internal storage (some of it reserved for the system), enhanced audio in handheld and tabletop, a wide adjustable stand, and a dock with a wired LAN port. It plays the Switch library in TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. This page is the white Joy-Con set, not the neon pair and not a renewed unit.

Good for

  • A household that wants one machine for the TV and the bag
  • Local multiplayer with Joy-Con you can actually hand over
  • Anyone whose last console is bolted to an HDMI port

Skip it if

  • You wanted neon Joy-Con, a special-edition shell, or a renewed console. This link is the white OLED, new listing
  • You need a huge internal library on day one. 64 GB fills up. A microSD card is a separate purchase
  • You are shopping a dock-only bundle or Joy-Con by themselves. This is the full system

When we looked, a marketplace seller had it in stock around $386. The price moves, and it has often lived nearer $349.99. The deal link is the Amazon page for that white OLED (/dp/B098RKWHHZ) with our Amazon Associates tag threepaths-20. Confirm the title says OLED and white Joy-Con, and that the seller is shipping a new system, before you check out.
