Why we love it
Cut flowers are a beautiful apology with a deadline. This one is a bouquet you build, then leave on the table, where it will still be a bouquet in November.
We love set 10280 because the flowers are specific. Roses, snapdragons, poppies, asters, daisies, grasses. Posable petals. Stems you can lengthen and shorten so the arrangement fits the vase you already own, including the one that has been empty since the last birthday. Fifteen stems. 756 pieces. Ages 18 and up, which is LEGO’s way of saying the builder gets to listen to a podcast and not share. When we looked, Amazon had it at $47.99. That is a gift under $50 that does not ask for a size, a skin type, or a flavor of sparkling water.
It will not smell like a florist. That is the trade. You also never have to throw it out on Thursday.
The longer story
This is the official LEGO Botanicals Flower Bouquet, set 10280 (also filed as model 6332921). The box is 756 pieces. LEGO’s notes: 15 stems, including roses, snapdragons, poppies, asters, daisies, and grasses, with posable petals and leaves and adjustable stem lengths. The tallest snapdragon is over 14 inches. It is part of the Botanical Collection for adults, 18 and up. Some of the elements are a plant-based plastic. You supply the vase, or you do not.
Good for
- A birthday, an anniversary, or a Tuesday that wanted flowers without the funeral on Friday
- Someone who likes a calm build and a result that stays on a shelf
- A gift you can wrap without asking for a sleeve length
Skip it if
- You wanted the Orchid (10311), the Wildflower Bouquet (10313), or a knockoff “compatible” bouquet. This link is official set 10280
- You needed a toy for a small child. The age is 18 and up, and the pieces are small
- You wanted a set that arrives already built. This one is a box of pieces and a good evening
When we looked, the price was $47.99, which keeps it in the under-$50 gift pile. It moves. The deal link is the Amazon page for that set (/dp/B08HW1L75J) with our Amazon Associates tag threepaths-20. Confirm the box says 10280 and the listing is the official LEGO set, not a “compatible with” imitation.
